Vaughn Halyard D'81StoryLounge CEO/Executive Producer Vaughn Halyard focuses “the Lounge” on original content. He is currently a producer on the film “The Sacred Acre” in partnership with ESPN. He is also producing for Dan Pearson’s Dan4 Entertainment on a Showtime series with Leonardo DiCaprio and other projects.
Halyard and Sacred Acre producer Tony Wilson previously produced another Iowa based film, “The Final Season”. Vaughn is the CEO and Executive Producer of The StoryLounge, a boutique media firm that provides creative, strategic, production, media and technology, marketing and entrepreneurial advisory. Vaughn is the creator and executive producer of “The Science of Thrill”, in partnership with the National Science Foundation. In partnership with Ken Hertz of HLY Media Law, and Membrain,LLC, Halyard and StoryLounge have provided strategic planning and integrated marketing and production services to Sean “Diddy” Combs and BadBoy Entertainment across all demographics, retail, interactive entertainment and media platforms. A former Walt Disney Studios Senior Vice President, Vaughn led New Media and R&D with additional responsibilities as a creative executive for the Buena Vista Music Group. He frequently represented Disney internationally on issues related to branding, intellectual property, and emerging media business strategy. Prior, Vaughn launched META Group’s entertainment and media practice. Clients included KKR, IVP/Redpoint Ventures, ESPN/EXPN, Universal, IBM, Time Warner, Nike-ACG, and others. A respected member of the creative community, he has worked with Stevie Wonder for over twenty years and has two Grammy Awards and an Oscar nomination. He was an Executive Producer on the indie film “Duck Farm No. 13” written and directed by Becky Smith. A former Columbia Records senior director of A&R and staff producer, he worked with American Idol’s Randy Jackson on the team that signed and oversaw a diverse roster and catalog that included Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, Maxwell, Bruce Springsteen Earth Wind and Fire and countless others . He cut his production teeth playing and producing for Ramsey Lewis, Jimmy “Jam”, Terry Lewis and Janet Jackson. Previously at the Dartmouth start-up New England Digital, he advised and recorded with Sting, LucasFilm, Pat Metheny, Michael Jackson, and others. He began his professional career as an IBM Marketing Representative in Chicago. Vaughn holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College with creative arts honors where he was a Research Fellow and lecturer for mentor Jon Appleton’s undergraduate and graduate study programs. He is also a guest lecturer of the Engineering Program at the University of California, Berkeley. He has presented at Dartmouth College, Stanford University, and University of Iowa, Wharton School of Business, Thomas Weisel Partners, MOBE, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Maxi-Media Brazil and the German Government’s on Global Digital Rights Management. While at Dartmouth he still spends time with friends from the Dartmouth Ski Team, Jack-o-Lantern, the Barbary Coast, Casque and Gauntlet and as many days and nights as possible at Mt Moosilauke. . |

Steve Fox D'00Conductor Steven Fox is Artistic Director of The Clarion Orchestra and The Clarion Choir, and Founder of Musica Antiqua St. Petersburg, which he established as Russia’s first period-instrument orchestra at the age of 21. In recent seasons he has made his debut as a guest conductor with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra in San Francisco, Handel and Haydn Society in Boston, Juilliard415 at Lincoln Center, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, l’Opéra de Québec and Chicago Music of the Baroque. Upcoming debuts include the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Tuscon Symphony Orchestra. From 2008 to 2013 he was an Associate Conductor at New York City Opera, and he has served as Assistant Conductor for the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artists Program and Juilliard Opera. Highlights of this year include leading a new production of Mozart's Magic Flute for l’Opéra de Québec, leading Clarion for the second year in performances at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and leading Clarion on a tour to Russia to premiere the lost Russian masterwork, Passion Week.
Recognized as a leader in his generation of conductors, Steven has been called "an esteemed director" by The New Yorker, "visionary" by BBC Music Magazine, and ‘a conductor to watch’ by Seen and Heard International. Of a recent performance with Clarion, The New York Times praised his ‘deft guidance’ and wrote: ‘An inspired interpretation. Mr. Fox revealed the drama of the score with vivid dynamic shadings. Intonation and pacing were exemplary throughout the performance.' Steven graduated as a Senior Fellow with High Honors from Dartmouth College and with distinction; from the Royal Academy of Music, London, where he was later named an Associate in 2010. He has given master classes and clinics at Dartmouth College, The Juilliard School and Yale University, where he served for two years as preparatory conductor of the Yale Schola Cantorum. |
Anna Tsouhlarkais D'99Anna Tsouhlarakis works in sculpture, installation, video and performance. She received her BA from Dartmouth College in Native American Studies and Studio Art and MFA from Yale University. She has participated in various art residencies including Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and Yaddo. Her work has been included in exhibitions at Rush Arts in New York, Dreamspace Gallery in London, the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, among others. She has been awarded various grants and fellowships including the Eiteljorg Fellowship for Native American Contemporary Art in 2011. This year she received an Artist Fellowship from the Harpo Foundation, DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities as well as a Native Arts and Cultures Foundation Fellowship.
